Vintage Moustache Cup - Japan - Viking Import Trade

Approximately 4 inches tall and 3.25 inches across the rim, this cup has a white porcelain ledge trimmed in gold to hold back the hair out of the liquid.  It also kept the moustache wax from melting.  These were vogue from the 1850s to the 1900s when large flowing moustaches were in style.  The label sticker indicates that it was imported from Japan by the Viking Import Trade Company, but we have not located a date. There are 5 men portrayed indicating 5 different style of moustaches.
