Liberty Bell on a Stand with Clapper
$5.00
only
This 4 inch high replica is almost 3.5 inches wide. It looks like brass and has some corrosion on the left hand side. The clapper creates a delightful tingling. The bottom inscription states: "The most famous bell in the world was originally cast in London, England. It was brought to Philadelphia in 1752 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pennsylvania's charter of privileges. The first ringing of the bell caused it to crack, at which time it was recast a second and then a thrid time by two Philadelphians named John Stow and John Pass. Thus the inscription of "Pass and Stow: on teh bell. The bell is housed today in the Liberty Bell Pavilion across from Independence Hall"
